     Scott M. Tulino is an associate in the firm and a registered patent attorney. Mr. Tulino received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic and Materials Science Engineering from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, New Jersey in May of 1999 and a Juris Doctor degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord, New Hampshire, in May of 2002.
     
      Mr. Tulino is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia (D.C.) Bar. Mr. Tulino is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Virginia. As mentioned above, Mr. Tulino is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
     
      While attending Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Mr. Tulino was employed as a summer laboratory technician for the Ceramic and Materials Science Engineering Department, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Mr. Tulino worked on a research and development project involving bioluminescent optical sensors for use in food packaging. Mr. Tulino’s responsibilities included assisting the efforts of the university professors and graduate students conducting the research project. Mr. Tulino aided the graduate students in laboratory research as well as conducting literature searches for the project.
     
      While attending law school, Mr. Tulino worked part-time as a law clerk in an intellectual property law firm in Manchester, New Hampshire in the Fall of 2000 and as a Summer Patent Associate in a renowned intellectual property law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2001.
     
      Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tulino was employed as a Patent Associate at a mid-sized intellectual property law firm in Arlington, Virginia for nearly one and half years.
     
      Mr. Tulino practices primarily in the area of patent prosecution in the electrical/mechanical, chemical and materials science arts, as well as counseling clients in all intellectual property matters.
     
      Some of the representative arts in which Mr. Tulino practices include, among others, LCD’s, LED’s, computer and software systems, semiconductors, optics, wireless devices, image reading and transfer apparatus, electromagnetic devices, micro machined devices, printer heads and printing methods, automotive devices, flow rate measuring devices, hydrogen sensors, magnetic tape cassettes, storage cases, cutting apparatus, medical devices, wire connectors, fiber optic cables, shielded cables, speakers, projection screen apparatus, commuter railway train apparatus and thermoplastic containers.
     
      Mr. Tulino is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the American Bar Association (ABA).
