John S. Holley

     John S. Holley is an associate in the firm and a registered patent agent. In 2007, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2011, he received a Juris Doctor degree from University of Cincinnati, College of Law with Dean’s List honors.
     
     Mr. Holley has passed the Texas Bar Exam and shortly will be sworn into the Texas Bar. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
     
     In 2004, Mr. Holley interned with Fujitec America, Inc. at the company’s North American headquarters in Mason, Ohio, where he performed safety tests for the British Standards Institute, and helped layout control boxes for the Fujitec’s first generation machine roomless elevator.
     
     In 2008, Mr. Holley was employed as a control systems engineer with CDI Aerospace in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked as a software developer for General Electric’s LEAP56 jet engine. He was also a member of a board at General Electric Aviation, which studied the possibility of integrating code from various model based coding tools, into the LEAP56 jet engine program.
     
     Throughout law school, Mr. Holley worked as a law clerk at the University of Cincinnati’s Intellectual Property Office, where he performed prior art searches, reviewed licensing agreements, and sought out potential licensees for the University’s technology. In the summer of 2010, he interned with the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner in tech center 2600.
     
     Mr. Holley practices primarily in the area of patent prosecution in the electrical arts, some of the representative arts in which he practices include, among others, integrated circuits, LCDs, LEDs, display devices, computer and software systems, semiconductors, optics, wireless devices, communication devices, image reading and transfer devices, and memory.
